３年ぶりにシアトルの大学近くに行きました。以前からアジア系飲食店はたくさんありましたが、さらにいくつかの中華料理店が開店。以前との最大のちがいは、ローカライズされない料理に特化した、大陸系の店の進出でしょうか。この酸菜魚専門店の妥協のなさ！ University Way near the University of Washington is called the Ave by the community. There have always been numerous Asian joints, but recent openings of some Continental Chinese restaurants are remarkable. They offer uncompromisingly authentic Continental cuisine! Taste this fish cooked with sour preserved vegetable. It burns your tongue and soul!

シアトルのダウンタウンに行くときみが待っている。きみはいつも働いている巨人。ハンマーをふりかざし、とかとんとん。ジョナサン・ボロフスキー作の動く彫刻は、労働者を讃える作品です。 Whenever I go downtown Seattle, you are there, working. Holding the hammer and hitting the air, you are the hardest-working gentle giant! This is Jonathan Borofsky's kinetic sculpture placed in front of the Seattle Art Museum. Let the workers be praised.
