ハワイ島の南端はカ・ラエ、ハワイ語でただ「岬」を意味する。タヒチから移住してきたポリネシア人の最初の上陸地点か。ここに立ってアオテアロア（ニュージーランド）の方向を眺めるのが好き。 The southern tip of Big Island is called ka lae, which simply means "the cape" in Hawaiian. Probably the first landing point for Polynesian immigrants from Tahiti. I love to stand here and look across the Pacific to the direction of Aotearoa.

秋の色が爆発している。夕張の炭鉱町の跡をすべて水に飲みこんだ夕張シューパロダムから谷間を見て。 It’s a quiet explosion of autumn colors. The valley seen from the Shuparo Dam that has submerged all the traces of the mining town of Yubari in the water.
