A surprisingly American diner in Lahti. I loved the place so much that I ate there every day of my sojourn.

これがカレリアン・ベアー・ドッグ！　フィンランドまで来た甲斐がありました。

This is the Karelian Bear Dog… sort of like the Akita of Finland. This unexpected encounter really made my day!

アメリカ西部だとジャッカロープという合成動物がいますが、フィンランドのイングリッシュ・エールはごらんのとおり。

You may recall that in the American West there is the jackalope. In Finland, English ale is represented by this hybrid animal.

When you say Finland you are invoking this nice little boy. He is God around here and all over the world!
